When you live in Michigan, Minnesoto, or New York, the relatively mild winter temperatures of Gulf Shores, Alabama make it a great place to spend the winter.
Gulf Breeze Resort is a Snowbird Haven. The park is just a short 4 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and sugar white beaches. Long and spacious RV pads with extended patios provide a great parking area. Sites are wide so you don’t feel crowded. Good 30/50 amp electric is included in your rate.
Also included is water, sewer, good cable TV, and free wifi service. The wifi is adequate most of the time. We find that in high traffic times it slows a little. (Like on a rainy Saturday morning, when there’s nothing else to do.)
Activities in the park include full church services every Sunday morning, planned breakfasts, social events and group trips, and frequent special entertainment events. There are craft classes, a great coffee club that meets most mornings, and numerous card groups and game times throughout the month. Activities are “resident” planned by a large and active Snowbird Club.
Bath houses are clean and modern with individual rooms that have toilets, sinks, and showers all in one unit.
Nice paved roads throughout the park mean easy driving in and out, as well as easy walking for daily exercisers. There is also a very nice gym with good equipment for the serious workout guests.
The outdoor pool is large and has a zero entry and exit point for easy in and out. There is a very roomy deck with plenty of lounge chairs for just laying back and relaxing. There is also an indoor pool for when it is chilly outside.
This is one of the best RV parks we have visited in our travels. The rates are very good for this type of park and service to guests seems to be primary. We have made friends easily here.
