There is probably no activity that is as popular with RVers as golfing. Some take their golf very seriously, playing several times a week, striving to maintain a low to no handicap. Others play for fun and exercise and enjoy the wonderful access to golf courses around the country.
If you are a member of your local country club, you are no doubt aware that many clubs have a reciprocal agreement that gets you onto other country club courses all over.
There are numerous golf courses that are part of a special trail of courses that can be played in certain areas at discounts. One such golf trail is the popular Alabama, Robert Trent Jones Trail. Many of these trails are pricey but offer some of the best golfing available.
Many RV Resorts have made arrangements with local golf courses for discount golfing for guests. You can simply sign up at the front office and get a list of other guests looking for golf partners, learn of the pickup times for transportation to the golf course, and learn of special tournaments, social get together times and events. Many times a “tee time captain” works with the local guests to arrange tee times to local courses.
There will always be golfers around RV parks. Finding other golfers is easy and is a great way to develop friends.
