Computer Workstations are becoming popular in RVs. There are several standard designs that work quite well in most situations. Since my computers play an integral part in our life on the road, I decided to design my own work area.
First I constructed a cabinet that is a desktop work area, a file cabinet, and a space for a printer combined. I like to use multiple monitors for making things easier in photo editing, writing while researching, and just having multiple views of a project. I like to have one monitor in the landscape position and another in the portrait position.
I found an excellent monitor stand that allows me to do this, plus allows me to change things around as well. I like to use a desktop computer, so I treated myself to a pair of matching 24″ monitors that my older eyes can see well without eyestrain. I also have a nice laptop for those times when I want to move about the coach. I can also take the laptop outside on a nice day as well.
I have found that if things are easy to do, it lowers my stress levels, which in turn helps to improve my writing.
